Eight Bells for Mental Health
When The Newbury Mental Health Resource Centre closed down there was nowhere for their clients to go other than the centre in Reading and if your not feeling very well it can be a daunting trip to make. So some of the service users came up with the idea of starting their own centre. They all work as volunteers and you can visit them at the Friends Meeting House, 1 Highfield Road, Newbury (Behind the Bus Station). They are open Monday - Friday 9.30 4.30 where you will find a full list of activities including; Art & Crafts, IT, Meals out, Cinema Trips and outings plus volunteering opportunities. You can also enjoy refreshments all day and a meal between 12 - 1.30. For more details contact Shirley on 07768707646
We wish them all the best for the future!
